Rebecca Driscoll - Treasurer
Hello, My name is Becky, I am a recent postgraduate of the MA Working for Children and Young People, at the University of South Wales. I also hold a BA (HONS) Youth and Community Studies, Youth Justice Pathway. I have lived in Torfaen for a little over 40 years, growing up in Pontnewydd Village. I have an extensive background in working with children and young people with additional and often complex needs, alongside supporting families and communities. I am involved with some local community groups and as a parent, grandparent and professional I am passionate about supporting others.
I have also taken on a lot of managerial roles in my past. I have a good track record of drawing down funding for disability groups, managing finances, preparing reports and accounts, delivering training and promoting rights for children and young people. I relate well with parents and carers, I have also built good relationships with parents and carers through my practice. I have also organised parent carer forums, and to help children access opportunities they can not access without extra support, and also provide respite services, when it is needed.
